Is my Bay Area home value going up or down?

Bay Area home values rose in all nine counties in August, with San Francisco leading at a 1.8% monthly increase and a typical home value of $1.42 million, up 13.7% year-over-year but still 4.6% below its 2022 peak. San Mateo and Marin counties also saw gains, while Contra Costa and Alameda remain the farthest below their 2022 peaks. Atherton had the highest city increase at 1.9%, with a typical value of $8.52 million.
