Over the past decade, Rhode Island's median single-family home price rose 94%, from $270,000 to $525,000, nearly triple the 38% wage increase. Some communities saw over 100% growth, with notable rises in Newport (109%), Jamestown (108%), East Providence (130%), and Block Island (219%). Smaller markets with few sales showed extreme increases, while overall home prices surged statewide, outpacing wage growth significantly.
