Howloween

Portland families, mark your calendars for Howloween at Oregon Zoo on October 17, 2026. This festive Halloween event brings together costumes, trick-or-treating, wildlife activities, keeper chats, and plenty of family-friendly fun in an unforgettable zoo setting. Come dressed for the occasion and explore special activities designed to entertain and educate. Kids can enjoy trick-or-treating while families connect with wildlife through engaging experiences and keeper conversations throughout the day. Be sure to make time for the annual Squishing of the Squash, one of Howloween’s most anticipated traditions. It’s a playful way to see animals interact with seasonal enrichment while celebrating the spirit of Halloween. Ready to join the fun?
