Florida homeowners can tap new repair fund for leaks, faulty wiring, and accessibility upgrades

A new county program in parts of Florida offers financial aid to low- and moderate-income homeowners outside Tampa city limits for essential home repairs. Eligible work includes roof, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, accessibility upgrades, lead paint removal, and weatherization. Homes must be owner-occupied for at least two years. In severe cases, demolition and rebuilding may be approved if repairs exceed half the home's value.
