Commissioners Approve Spacious 337-Home Community in Ocala

Marion County approved reducing the Cypress Pointe development from 621 townhomes to 337 single-family homes on a 103-acre site in southwest Ocala. The change lowers residential units by 284 and relocates the community’s amenity center to Phase 1. Adjustments were made to driveway setbacks to prevent vehicle overhang on sidewalks. The shift to single-family homes also cuts projected daily vehicle trips by 1,223. Age restrictions were not imposed.
