Cookstove Demonstrations

Step back in time at Historic Longstreet Farm in Holmdel for Cookstove Demonstrations, a free local event running October 17–31, 2026. On October 17, visitors can experience historic cooking demonstrations that reveal how meals were prepared and enjoyed in the 1890s. Watch traditional recipes and cooking techniques come to life while learning how families used period tools, ingredients, and methods. It is an engaging way to connect with local history and discover the everyday skills that shaped life more than a century ago. For local residents and families, this is an easy community outing with plenty of educational value—and no admission cost. Real estate is about more than homes; it is also about helping people enjoy the places and experiences that make a community feel like home. Mark your calendar, invite a neighbor, and review event details before visiting at https://www.monmouthcountyparks.com/Page.aspx?ID=2530.
