Victoria Festival of Authors 2026

Victoria’s literary community takes centre stage from October 12–18, 2026, with the Victoria Festival of Authors. Hosted at Langham Court Theatre and other Greater Victoria venues, this seven-day celebration brings together 50 authors for 21 opportunities to connect, listen, learn, and be inspired. The festival offers something for every kind of reader, including author readings, lively discussions, hands-on workshops, outdoor programming, and both in-person and online sessions. Whether you are looking for a thoughtful evening out, a creative weekend activity, or a way to connect from home, the schedule offers plenty of ways to participate. With tickets priced on a $5–$30 sliding scale and some virtual events available free, the festival makes local literary culture accessible to the community. It is a wonderful chance to explore new ideas, meet fellow readers, and experience the creative energy that makes Greater Victoria such a vibrant place to live.
