Florida Renters Celebrate 12.8% Insurance Rate Reduction

Florida renters will benefit from a 12.8% average reduction in renters insurance rates approved for about 121,898 policies, effective October 11. The rate cuts apply to new and renewing HO-4 policies, with decreases ranging from 13.1% to 13.9% in over 30 counties, including significant drops in Orange and Broward counties. Renters insurance covers personal belongings and liability but not the building itself.
