August home sales in Wisconsin dropped 8.3% year-over-year due to tight inventory, declining affordability, and high mortgage rates. The statewide median home price increased to $362,000. In northern Wisconsin, sales fell 14%, with a median price of $322,500, up 7.5%. Homes there stayed on the market about 80 days. Despite the monthly decline, the year-to-date market remains ahead of the previous year.
